A cuisine that tells a story

Locanda Nerello

Housed inside the historic Main Villa, Locanda Nerello is the gastronomic heart of Monaci delle Terre Nere: four elegant rooms with painted ceilings, contemporary art, warm light and a terrace that opens onto the estate.

The atmosphere is refined yet intimate, the feeling of dining in a Sicilian villa, where every detail is chosen with intention.

The cuisine reflects the same philosophy that shapes the estate: respect for the land, organic agriculture, and the rhythm of the seasons. Ingredients arrive from our gardens, orchards and vineyards, or from the small artisans who preserve Sicily’s rarest traditions.

Among them, the estate-grown Aci Trunzu kohlrabi, a Slow Food Presidium, symbolizes our commitment to biodiversity and the authenticity of Etna’s culinary heritage.

Where the Estate’s Soul becomes Cuisine

Each evening, the menu begins with what our farmers bring to the Chef, the freshest offerings from the estate, vibrant produce and rare varieties grown on these volcanic slopes, complemented by exceptional ingredients from trusted local artisans.

From this intimate relationship with the land and the people who cultivate it, a cuisine emerges that is refined, contemporary and deeply connected to the volcanic identity of Etna.

Dining at Locanda Nerello is more than a meal: is an immersion into the identity of the estate, a moment suspended between landscape, culture and taste. An experience that stays with guests long after the last glass of Guido Coffa wine.
