Outdoor Living: a Garden Immersed in Light and Orchard Scents
“Encircled by a private garden shaped by fruit trees, terraced lawns, and Mediterranean vegetation, the villa’s outdoor world is designed for quiet living and slow afternoons.
A solar-heated private pool overlooks the countryside and the sea in the distance, inviting moments of stillness from sunrise to sunset. Sun loungers, parasols, shaded corners, and open grassy terraces create a natural stage for reading, sunbathing, yoga, or alfresco dining.
Whether shared with family and friends or enjoyed in peaceful solitude, these outdoor spaces elevate every stay with Sicilian charm, privacy, and natural beauty.”

FAQ's
1. How far is the villa from the Main Villa and the restaurants?
Persimmon is just 150 metres from the Main Villa and the estate’s restaurants. Guests can walk along scenic paths, drive their private car, or request our 24-hour golf-cart service at any time.
2. Is the estate easy to move around?
Yes. Monaci is a “scattered hotel” set across a historic organic farm, with all areas connected by pedestrian paths, internal roads, and our 24-hour golf-cart assistance. The estate’s lanes are intentionally kept as natural as possible to preserve the landscape, which means they may be slightly uneven in some points, but still perfectly accessible. Moving between the villa, the restaurants, the pool, and the winery is easy and offers the chance to enjoy the estate’s panoramic views and Mediterranean nature.
3. Is the villa suitable for families or groups?
Absolutely. Persimmon offers four independent bedrooms, multiple entrances, and very spacious indoor-outdoor areas, ideal for family gatherings, multi-generational stays, or groups of friends who want privacy without being far from one another.
4. What is the estate’s approach to food and sustainability?
Monaci follows a genuine farm-to-table philosophy: most ingredients come from our organic gardens, orchards, and vineyards. We are also custodians of the Slow Food Praesidium for the Cavolo Trunzo di Aci, an ancient Sicilian variety grown on the estate and celebrated in our seasonal menus. Local producers, low-impact farming, and respect for biodiversity guide everything we do.
5. Do you recommend renting a car during our stay?
Both options work well. You may rent a car to explore the Etna region independently, or arrive with a private driver for a fully relaxed stay. Our Guest Experience Manager can arrange all transfers on request, including complimentary shuttle service to Taormina at set times, as well as winery visits, excursions, and restaurant transportation. Whatever your preference, moving around the area is easy and flexible.
